My Professional Journey – The Story of Megan Aldridge
Being a professional photographer is all I’ve ever wanted to do.
I started photography when I was 16 years old.
I started shooting weddings after I got married and realised how important it is, and how hard it is to find a photographer who can take natural, unposed photos.
I fell in love with photography when I was handed a camera and roll of b&w film, shot all my goth friends for my yr 12 folio, which I printed in a freezing cold shed at night so the light wouldn’t leak in.
I assisted as many photographers as possible while studying at RMIT for my Bachelor of Art in fine art photography.
I have been a professional photographer for more than half my life, and can’t imagine doing anything else.
